About Me
My name is Mercedes Fraistat and I'm a Penn State graduate with a B.A. in Broadcast Journalism with a minor in Media Studies. I am originally from Jackson, New Jersey where I graduated from Jackson Liberty High School in 2015. During my time at Penn State, I was a Social Media Intern with Penn State Intercollegiate Athletics from 2018-2019. There I helped run social media platforms for various Penn State sports.

I am a driven, reliable, and outgoing person with excellent communication skills. I am dedicated to creating quality work and very motivated to expand my knowledge and experience within the Broadcast Journalism and Social Media fields.

As an aspiring Social Media Manager, I have put together this site to help showcase my work and experience. This includes some graphics I have edited, content from the social channels I worked on. In addition to all of that, I've included some of my work from my news reporting class, my radio reporting class, my documentary film class, and articles I wrote during my Fall 2019 internship with New Jersey Youth Soccer.

My internship with Penn State gave me the opportunity to get behind the camera and learn more about photography. To show my wide range of experience, I've also included a gallery, filled with photos I've taken for my internships and from other Penn State events.
