The Works

During my decade long career in social media, I've had my hand on the keyboard for Penn State Athletics teams, a start up tech company, the Los Angeles Chargers, and two Premier Lacrosse League teams: the Carolina Chaos and the Denver Outlaws. My content for these organization has garnered over 20 million views 3.7 million likes engagements.

Here you'll find what I call "The Works" - The hilarious, the serious, the unhinged, the

outta-the-box, the polished - all of the content that worked in my mind and online.

The Works: Carolina Chaos

For the Carolina Chaos, my content strategy was to create compelling posts that made followers stop scrolling through their feed by mixing memes and pop culture with the personalities of the Chaos players, coaches, and league events. Through copy, I created an informal relationship between brand and viewer that made them them feel as if they were interacting with a friend, not a professional team. The Chaos poked fun at other teams through win memes, were heavily involved in pop culture and capitalized on trends and conversations. This strategy of engaging and out of the box content, increased following of the Carolina Chaos Instagram account by 26% during my time.

The Works: Denver Outlaws

My content strategy for the Denver Outlaws was the complete opposite of that for the Carolina Chaos. For the Outlaws, I heavily focused on player performance. Through research, I learned that Outlaws followers were true lacrosse fans who engaged more with on-the-field play than modern, personality driven content. Through polished graphics, highlights and video edits, this strategy of keeping things clean and simple, increased following of the Denver Outlaws Instagram account by 28% while I was Social Media Coordinator.
